Cathay Pacific is amongst the world’s few five star airlines and today I am going to review my Mumbai – Hong Kong flight. Cathay has been flying to Mumbai since years and I flew with cathay for the first time recently.
The check in process opens 3 hours before boarding. Check in was smooth at both Bombay and Hong Kong on my return
Immigration and security was a breeze at BOM and was completed within a few minutes.
TIP: Keep your travel documents and visa ready before approaching the immigration officer. Indians arriving and departing now do not need to fill any forms. At security remove any metal objects from your body and drop it in the tray along with your carry on luggage and mobiles/laptops.
Mumbai Airport has a wide range of food options from the usual fast food outlets to Indian food.
The plane was delayed and started boarding with the usual business class/premium class first then the rear economy followed by forward economy class cabin. The boarding was pretty slow.
The Seat and a few extras
The Plane was an A330 and was delivered to Cathay around 7 years back. Economy class seats were in the usual A330 seating format of 2-4-2. Each seat has a pillow and a blanket. Cabin Crew soon started distributing earphones.
The inflight entertainment screen on A330 is a touch screen and features a wide range of content
NOTE: Cathay A330 has no Wi-Fi
Food & drinks
Cathay first begins with a drink service followed by the meal service. I Selected the Hindu Non Veg meal.
